The original slide switch was a momentary key switch. This was inconvenient and just one more key that I didn’t need. I replaced the key switch with a standard DPDT Momentary slide-out switch. This Southwind has been a wonderful learning experience. Our previous 2 motorhomes were very simple, entry level vehicles, with no fancy or automated features at all. The Ventline range hood had a couple problems; 1) The water pump switch (Momentary contact) was jammed and stuck ON. 2) The vent blower was very stiff, and the exterior exhaust door was stuck in the open position.
